Your Arrival to Lima Airport
Meeting You at Lima Airport - Lima (Jorge Chavez) Airport is quite small, neatly arranged and well organized.
With the exception of when you are staying overnight at the Lima Ramada Airport Hotel a Luxury Peru Travel staff person will be waiting for you in the terminal after you have cleared customs. Look for a sign with your name on it. Below is a map of the Jorge Chavez airport indicating where we will be waiting for you.
In real life it is very straightforward, you will briefly queue to pass through Customs, you then pass through a pair of large glass doors and we will be waiting directly there with your names on our sign.
Lima Ramada Airport Hotel - If you are staying overnight at the Lima Ramada Airport Hotel we will not be there to meet you. Please just walk across to the Ramada Hotel (20yds.) and check yourself in. The staff all speak good English. Similarly the following Morning we will not be there to assist you, please just walk across to the Terminal Building and check yourself in for you onward flights.
Flight Itinerary & Emergency Contact Information - If you have any change to your flight itinerary or emergency contact information please let us know ASAP. It is imperative we have your proper flight information so we can ensure a Luxury Travel Peru staff person is there to pick you up at the airport.
Immigration Forms - Prior to landing, the flight attendant will hand out immigration forms. One form per person must be filled out. The upper part of the form stays with immigration, the lower part is handed back to you. Take good care of the card as you need it when leaving the country.
You will also need to provide your immigration form, along with your passport at each hotel upon check in where they will be photocopied. This information is taken to prove you, as a foreigner, qualify for the 18% lodging tax exemption.
Luggage Declaration - This will also be handed out by the flight attendant prior to landing. Only one form per family has to be filled out. After immigration and picking up your luggage you have to hand it over to the custom officials. The last hurdle to leave the customs area is the luggage control. After your luggage has passed through the scanner without any observations you may leave.
